Hi, I'm Darius.

I build software for companies and the people who work in them. The best known is Timo, a reception robot that speaks Romanian.

Projects

Timo

Timo is the reception robot I built at Rovision. It greets people, answers their questions in Romanian and walks them where they need to go. When someone asks for a person, it calls one on WhatsApp.

I wrote all of its software, and I'm also the one who sells and installs it. At Orizont Dental Clinique in Buzău it had over 390 conversations in its first 18 days.

For clinics I connected it to iStoma, the software they run the practice on. Timo checks patients in, shows appointments and balances, and asks for reviews. Clinic prices are next, through an MCP I'm building now.

Stack: Kotlin, Python, Docker, LinuxTalk to Timo

IT at Rovision

I also run IT at Rovision: cPanel and WHM administration, incident response, penetration testing, email secured with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, endpoint protection, a recovered NAS, n8n automations and an internal CRM dashboard.

Stack: n8n, Linux, Docker

AI automations

I build AI automations for companies, however complex they get: OCR on documents, content detection and filtering, generated product descriptions, agents wired into internal tools.

Stack: Python, n8n, Playwright

How I write code

I write code with several AI agents: Claude Opus 5.5, GPT 6 Astra, Gemini 4 Argon and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. They check each other's work, and I read all of it and write code too. In my view, AI agents shouldn't be left to make changes on their own. Their work needs checking, and the plan and the attention to detail have to come from a person.

The road so far

You only live once, so I want to get everything I can out of these years. This is where I keep track of the road, what worked and what didn't.

  1. Childhood

I played a lot of Minecraft and CS:GO. That's where I set up my first servers, with port forwarding and custom mods. Around the same time I used Cheat Engine for my first wallhack, and I liked it.

  2. 2021

My first client was a pool hall in Pitești: a website, social media posts and ads, for 500 lei. At 15 I had no idea what my work was worth. I was just happy I could play pool for free.

  3. 2021

I started a YouTube channel. After the first negative comment I deleted every video. Since then I've learned that other people's opinions don't matter, and nobody gets your vision. People will discourage you faster than they'll back you. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday, with everything I've learned since.

  4. 2022

I tried every way I could find to make money online. I ran TikTok ads for survey platforms and earned on referrals. Then affiliate marketing through Profitshare: comparison sites for phones (with GSMArena data), PCs and TVs. That's also when I built my first PC, always hunting for the best price to performance. Getting paid online fascinated me.

  5. 2023

Started cristalsrl.ro, a WooCommerce shop selling surveillance cameras straight to consumers at a 5% markup. Product feeds, retargeting, the works. Some months did 10,000 lei in sales, then 20,000, but the profit was small and tech support ate my time. Happy customers still call me to order cameras.

  6. 2023

Moved the shop to Shopify, B2B only, with a custom Liquid theme: bundles of power supplies, cameras and hard drives for installers. Even thinner margins, but real volume. I quit that too, because I didn't have enough credibility in B2B.

  7. 2024

Started hellosystems.io with two partners, one from the US and one from Russia. We had our own outreach system: search in LinkedIn Sales Navigator, scraping, enrichment, email warming with Instantly and AI icebreakers tailored to each profile and company. Our first client was Estudiozen, a US web dev agency. I learned to write cold emails that convert at 5% and closed my first client on a Zoom call, the first one at $1,000 a month. The partnership split later, and that's why we stopped. Good times.

  8. 2024

2nd place at the National Cybersecurity Olympiad. That got me into the bootcamp the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) runs at its Bran site, with cybersecurity training and an Attack and Defense round.

  9. April 13, 2025

Guest on Campionii Educației, a show on Trinitas TV, while I was still in high school. We talked about the olympiad.

  10. 2025

Opened dcmarketing.ro, an agency doing AI automations for online shops. Not enough clients, so I closed it.

  11. 2025

Built AI chatbots for dental clinics under the name aiclinic.ro. The clinics wanted more than a chat window on their site, and that's where Timo started.

  12. September 2026

Timo starts working at Orizont Dental Clinique in Buzău.

  13. November 6 and 7, 2026

Speaking at iStoma Future Summit, The Road to 1M and Beyond, at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest. I'm presenting Timo and running a workshop.

About

I'm 20 and in my second year at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Bucharest. I never liked pure algorithms, the C++ kind from high school. I've always been practical and thought about how to bring value straight to people in the real world.

Most of my time goes into Timo: code, clients, installs. I also do the sales side there: lead gen, client calls, demos and follow-up until the contract is signed. I know my way around ads, marketing and print too, business cards included.

I went through a big self-improvement phase. I found the gym, on and off, and the books I keep going back to: Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning, David Deida's The Way of the Superior Man. I meditated a lot, used habit trackers and dug into the psychology of how people relate, from How to Win Friends and Influence People to neuroplasticity, which fascinated me. Slowly I built my judgment, my principles and a thirst for knowledge, along with the urge to do things properly.

I go to business events too, like the ones NOD runs in Sibiu. In the security and video surveillance industry I keep in touch with people at Dahua, Hikvision, Telesystem and Tora.

I also have an expensive hobby: watches. My dream car is a Lexus LC500, and this site's design starts from it.
